The Word Nonprofits Love to Hate—marketing



When we were children very few—if any—of us dreamt of becoming marketing executives when we grew up.


And yet, isn’t that what every nonprofit organization is doing?  They proclaim some variation of “I want to change the world.”  In today’s interconnected world it’s all about telling your story.  It’s about changing attitudes and preferences.  It’s about building a core group of true believers—a tribe.
