The Eight Principles® Curriculum

Category:

The full curriculum gives you a comprehensive understanding of the universal principles of fundraising. It teaches you the skills that effective fundraisers must master. Finally, it shows you how to implement these principles into your fundraising efforts.

The curriculum is arranged in fourteen lessons. It moves sequentially through the Eight Principles then builds on that understanding with skill based lessons in planning and developing high performing cash based and asset based programs.

Although you’re free to wander around, I recommend working through the lessons sequentially, for maximum learning value. In addition to the videos and downloadable collateral, there is an audio podcast with each lesson. The podcast is an interview of a fundraiser, thought leader, philanthropist or volunteer speaking to the subject.

Lesson 1:      Donors are the Drivers®

The first principle of The Eight Principles®, Donors are the Drivers®, speaks to donors as the prime movers in philanthropy. They are the engine propelling fundraising forward. But their money is not the fuel. Ultimate fundraising success is inextricably tied to this principle.
